      What is a Partnership Firm?

      Persons who have entered into partnership with one another to carry on a business are individually called “Partners“; collectively called as a “Partnership Firm”; and the name under which their business is carried on is called the “Firm Name”

      A partnership firm is a business structure in which two or more individuals manage and operate a business in accordance with the terms and objectives set out in a Partnership Deed that may or may not be registered. In such a business, the members are individually partners and share the liabilities as well as profits of the firm in a predetermined ratio.

      Requirements of Partnership Firm:

      Minimum two Partners:

      Minimum of two partners are required to form partnership firm. However, maximum number of partners is limited to 100.

      No Minimum Capital requirement:

      A partnership firm has no limit on capital requirement but all the partners must contribute towards capital.

      No requirements of annual compliances:

      A partnership firm do not require any formal audits or annual compliances.

      Benefits of Incorporation of Partnership Firm:

      No Registration Requirement

      The registration of the Partnership Firm is not mandatory hence both registered and unregistered partnership firm is lawful.

      Shared Responsibilities

       In a partnership firm, the partners share responsibilities to manage the business together. Responsibilities for a particular field or task or a department can be assigned to one or more partners by mentioning the same in a Partnership Deed.

      Flexibility in Operations and Easy Compliance

      A Partnership Firm operates completely on the basis of the Partnership Deed Drafted. This Partnership Deed can be changed time to time even after the firm is registered. There are no restrictions on the partners with regards to the business operations as long as it is covered under the partnership agreement.

      Pre-defined Objective or a Period

      A Partnership Deed can be drafted for a particular pre-defined period or for a particular task. After completion of the pre-defined period or the task, the partnership stands dissolved.

      PAN Card

      A Self-attested copy of PAN cards of all the partners

      Business Address Proof

      Latest electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Rent Agreement of the registered office premises

      Partner’s Address Proof

      Self- attested copy of Aadhar Card and Voter ID/ Passport/ Driving License of all partners

      Rent Agreement

      In case the office premises are rented, then rent agreement of the office will be required
