      What is Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises?

      The Union cabinet approved the modalities and road map for the micro, small and medium enterprises on 1st June ,2020. India is aiming to take the next big leap. As per notification of MSME dated 26.06.2020, Udyam Registration is the new process of MSME/UDYOG AADHAAR Registration launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises effective from July 1, 2020.

      MSME stands for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. In accordance with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act in 2006, the enterprises are classified into two divisions. a. Manufacturing enterprises – engaged in the manufacturing or production of goods in any industry b. Service enterprises – engaged in providing or rendering services.

      Benefits of MSME Registration/Udyam Registration/Udyog Aadhar:

      Collateral Free Loans from Banks

      The Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme (CGS) for Micro and Small Enterprises was launched by the Government of India to make available collateral-free credit to the micro and small enterprise sectors. This initiative guarantees funds to micro and small sector enterprises. Under this scheme, both the old as well as the new enterprises can claim the benefits.

      Easy Clearance of Pending Payments

      Under the MSME registration benefits, a buyer is expected to make a payment for the goods/services within 15 days of the purchase. If the buyer delays, the payment for more than 45 days, the enterprise is eligible to charge compound interest which is 3 times the rate notified by RBI.

      Overdraft Facility with Interest Exemption

      Businesses or enterprises registered as MSME/SSI under the MSME Act are eligible to avail a benefit of 1% on the overdraft as part of the Credit Guarantee Trust Fund Scheme.

      50% discount on trademark and patent fees

      Business enterprises registered under the MSME Act are given a hefty subsidy of 50 per cent for patent and trademark registration. This can be availed by sending an application to the respective ministry.

      Some Concession on Electricity bills

      An MSME Registered can avail concession on electricity bills.  Registered MSME have to submit the bill along with the application and copy of registered Certificate.

      Reimbursement of ISO Registration Charges

      Registered MSMEs can claim the  expenses for reimbursement that were spent on ISO certification.

      Registered MSMEs can get Government tenders easily.

      PAN Card

      A Copy of PAN card of the business entity; and of director or partner, if applicable

      Aadhar Card

      A copy of proprietor’s Aadhar card or of director(s) or partner(s) in other cases like Udyog Aadhar Registration
