DGFT Notification Correction – Jute Fabric HS Code Revised
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a correction to Notification No. 21/2025-26 dated 27.06.2025 under the Foreign Trade Policy 2023.
In Para 19(2)(ix) of the General Notes regarding the Import Policy (ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule 1), the HS Code for “Unbleached woven fabrics of jute or of other textile bast fibers” has been corrected.
Old HS Code: 530010
Revised HS Code: 531010
This update ensures consistency with the correct classification of jute fabric products under the harmonized system.
Importers and traders dealing with jute fabrics should use the updated HS Code 531010 in all relevant documentation and compliance processes.
