Clarification on RCMC Requirements for Post-Export Remission-Based Schemes under FTP 2023
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has clarified the Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) requirement under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023.
1. RCMC is required for exporters applying for an authorization to import/export or any benefit under FTP 2023 (except for restricted items)
2. For ROSCTL (rebate of state and central taxes and levies) and RODTEP (remission of duties and taxes on export product) RCMC is not needed. These are post-export remission-based schemes that remit duties or taxes on exported goods.
This update helps exporters understand the RCMC requirement more clearly, ensuring they can claim the relevant benefits without confusion.
