Government Extends Import Policy for Yellow Peas Until May 31, 2025.
In a recent move, the Indian government has extended the current Import Policy conditions for Yellow Peas under ITC(HS) Code 07131010. Originally set to expire on February 28, 2025, the new deadline is now pushed to May 31, 2025. This extension follows a series of notifications and ensures that the import of Yellow Peas remains “Free” of any Minimum Import Price (MIP) conditions or port restrictions.
This means that all import consignments with a Bill of Lading issued before May 31, 2025, will not be subject to any additional restrictions, except for the requirement to register under the online Import Monitoring System (IMS).
Key Takeaways:
• Yellow Peas imports (ITC HS Code 07131010) remain unrestricted under the extended policy.
• No MIP condition or port restrictions apply.
• Importers must still register through the IMS system.
• The new import deadline is now May 31, 2025.
This extension is expected to help streamline imports and provide greater flexibility for businesses involved in importing Yellow Peas. Make sure to stay updated and comply with the necessary registration requirements to ensure smooth transactions.
This is issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
