DGFT sugar export authorization
The Government of India, through Notification No. 17 dated June 17, 2025, has allowed the export of Pharma Grade Sugar under a Restricted Export Authorization. A one-time export quota of 25,000 MT has been allocated for the current sugar season, ending September 30, 2025.
Key Highlights:
• Application Window:
Online applications accepted from June 20 to July 20, 2025 only.
• ITC(HS) Codes:
17011490 and 17019990
• Quota Allocation:
On a pro-rata basis based on the applicant’s production capacity.
• Where to Apply:
Visit DGFT Website → Services → Export Management Systems → License for Restricted Exports.
Eligibility:
• Valid Drug Manufacturing License from State Licensing Authority.
• Must be a registered PHARMEXCIL member with a valid RCMC.
• Only one application per IEC will be considered.
Conditions for Export:
• Submit NABL-accredited lab reports confirming Pharma Grade Sugar specifications at time of export.
Important:
• No email or postal applications will be accepted.
• Applications with missing documents will be rejected.
