Central Government amends the export policy of Food Supplements containing Botanicals
The policy conditions for the export of Food Supplements which contains Botanicals under the ITC (HS) Code 1302 and 2106 is amended by the Government of India, which is intended for human or animal consumption to the European Union and the United Kingdom.
The export of Food Supplements containing Botanicals which are originated in or consigned from India, intended for human or animal consumption are permitted the official certificate issued by the Export Inspection Council (EIC) or Export Inspection Agencies (EIA). The competent authority will issue the official certificate based on the satisfactory analytical report from EIC/EIA approved laboratories, as per the requirements laid down by the European Union.
Here, it is also clarified that the certificates which were issued by the SHEFEXIL before the issuance of this Notification, shall continue to be recognised.
