Are you eligible for EPR E-waste registration - check now

Registration on the E-Waste EPR Portal as a Producer is NOT mandatory for entities in the following scenarios:
- Import of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) (including their components, consumables, parts, and spares) not enumerated in Schedule-I of E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
- Import of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (including their components, consumables, parts, and spares) listed in Schedule-I of E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, is permissible for the following purposes:
- Exclusive sale to Producers already registered on the E-Waste EPR Portal at URL: https://eprewastecpcb.in only;
- Self-Use (Not for Sale);
- Captive Consumption for manufacturing and selling to Producers already registered on the E-Waste EPR Portal at URL: https://eprewastecpcb.in.
Entities (importers) falling under the categories mentioned in S.No.2 above are required to submit the following documents to Customs/Port Authorities. Furthermore, they should furnish proof of submitting a copy of the below-mentioned documents to CPCB at the email address ewaste2.cpcb@gov.in:
i. Copy of agreements with Registered Producers for whom the consignment is being imported.
ii. Copy of the EPR Registration Certificate of the Producer(s) for whom the consignment is being imported.
iii. Letter from Registered Producers confirming that the Importer is importing on behalf of the said Registered Producer.
iv. Self-declaration asserting that imported EEE items shall be sold to registered Producers only and shall not be sold to any individual/consumer/bulk consumer (as per the attached format).
Consumers or Bulk Consumers importing Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) for self or captive use are exempt. However, the Consumer or Bulk consumer must submit a Self-Declaration to Customs/Port Authorities on its letterhead, stating that the EEE items being imported are intended solely for self or captive use and not for sale (as per the attached format), along with evidence of submitting a copy of the self-declaration to CPCB at the email address ewaste2.cpcb@gov.in.
