New Import Guidelines for Premium Frozen Duck Meat in India.

India has updated its import regulations for Premium Frozen Duck Meat, particularly for supplies intended for 3-Star and above operational hotels. Here’s a simple breakdown of the latest trade notice:
• Restricted Imports: Premium Frozen Duck Meat (under HS Codes 0207 4200 & 0207 4500) is now restricted for imports to 3-Star and above operational hotels.
• Direct Imports by Hotels: 3-Star and above hotels can now directly import Premium Frozen Duck Meat without needing an Import Authorization.
• Guidelines for Importers (Distributors/ Aggregators/ Suppliers):
O Importers can obtain an Import Authorization from DGFT.
O Importers must submit an undertaking stating that the product is for 3-Star and above hotels.
O Record keeping is required for all supplies made to these hotels.
O For future Import Authorizations, importers must provide proof (such as GST invoices) of previous supplies to 3-Star and above hotels.
• Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with these regulations may lead to penalties.
