Central Govt. amends Import Policy Conditions for items under ITC(HS) Code 0511 99 99

The Central Government amends the Import Policy Condition for items under ITC(HS) Code 0511 99 99 of Chapter 05 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy).
The existing policy prohibits the Import of Human Embryo in accordance to the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021 and The Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021.
The amendment introduces the Import of Human Gametes in the Import Policy Condition, as shown in the table below: –
