Procedure for filing application for obtaining Import Authorisation for import of Low Ash Metallurgical Coke subject to Country-wise Quantitative Restrictions (QR)- Regarding.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced that, effective from January 1, 2025, the import of Low Ash Metallurgical Coke (HS Codes: 27040020, 27040030, 27040040, 27040090) will be restricted and subject to country-wise Quantitative Restrictions (QR) for a period of six months (January 1 to June 30, 2025).
Visit DGFT Portal, go to Services > Import Management System > Imports Authorization for Restricted Imports (ANF 2M).
Submit details of past imports (2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24), along with current-year data and source country details.
Provide information about your production capacity and actual production for 2023-24 and up to December 31, 2024.
Submit a separate application for each country of origin.
Apply for the total quantity for the full restriction period.
Applications and allocate quantities will be reviewed by Exim Facilitation committee (EFC).
Import quantities allowed in the first quarter can be adjusted if exceeded, with any unutilized quantity carried forward to the next quarter.
The DGFT will review import usage after the first quarter (by April 2025) and adjust allocations if needed.
Importers must submit import data by March 2025 for quantity adjustments to policy2-dgft@gov.in and sanjay.kt@nic.in.
Ensure to file your applications between January 1-12, 2025. Stay compliant and plan your imports carefully during this period!
In the event of any mis-declaration, the applicant shall be disqualified from consideration for the present import allocation.
The DGFT reserves the right to make any changes in the modalities/allocation process at any point of time, as deemed fit.
