Export of Wheat to Nepal through National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL)
The Central Government has granted permission for the export of 2,00,000 metric tons (MT) of wheat (HSN 1001) to Nepal. This approval comes under the provisions of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. Through the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) the export will be carried out.
This decision is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen trade ties with Nepal and ensure the supply of essential commodities. The approval is in line with the government’s commitment to facilitating smooth and regulated trade in the region.
