DGFT issues Trade Notice partially amending the application for license and allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds.

DGFT has laid down the procedures of application for license and allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, based on various requests received from the Governments of other countries, DGFT notified this via Trade Notice No. 08/2023 dated 20th June 2023.
DGFT has decided to Partially Amend the following Paras of the Trade Notice No. 08/2023 dated 20th June 2023. Due to DGFT receiving complaints regarding difficulties faced by the exporters while filling up the online forms and other issues concerning the allocation of quotas, this amendment is announced through Trade Notice No. 12/2023 dated 30th June 2023.
The partial amendments made by the DGFT are as follows: –

6(c) | Online applications filed from 21.06.2023 to 30.06.2023 are only to be considered. | Online applications filed from 21.06.2023 to 03.07.2023 are only to be considered. |
9 | The exporters who have been allocated the quota of broken rice will have to submit the ‘Landing Certificate’ within one month (i.e.; 30 days) of completion of export of allocated quota of broken rice. | The exporters who have been allocated the quota of broken rice will have to submit the ‘Landing Certificate’ within 90 days of completion of export of allocated quota of broken rice. |
