Launch of the Revamped Preferential Certificate of Origin (eCoO) 2.0 System.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has launched the Preferential Certificate of Origin (eCoO) 2.0 system, which will be available from 21st December 2024. This new platform brings significant improvements aimed at streamlining the certification process for exporters.
Multi-User Access: Multiple user can be assigned under single import export code (IEC).
E-Signature Options: Aadhar based e-signatures are now supported.
Integrated Dashboard: Access to eCoO, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) information, trade events, and more, all in one place.
Cost Sheet Digitization: Simplified preparation and submission of cost sheets.
On December 21st, 2024 Exporters can start filing Preferential Certificates of Origin through the new system. All data from the legacy platform will be migrated after the stabilisation of the preferential Coo workflow. The pending preferential coo applicants which are filed before December 20,2024 will be processed through old system. All the new applications must be submitted via ecoo 2.0 on 21st December, 2024. Exporters existing credentials on the DGFT website will work on the new ecoo 2.0 platform. If you are not registered, sign up at DGFT website. Administrators need to register, configure payment gateways, and upload stamps/signatures for regional offices. E-wallet on ecoo 2.0 system allows agencies to manage payments, funds from the legacy system migrating after the new system stabilizes. The coo is easily verified through the ecoo 2.0 platform or by scanning QR code provided on issued certificates.
