DGFT revises Standard Input Output Norms for Leather, Leather Products and Footwear

DGFT revises specific Standard Input Output Norms for Leather, Leather Products and Footwear and Serial No. 7 of General Note for Leather and Leather Products.

The Revised SIONs are:

General Note for Leather and Leather Products for Serial Number. 7 is revised as follows:

“For manufacture of leather products, wherever a request is made for import of processing chemicals for making finished leather, the same may be allowed as per standard norms available at Sl. No. G7 or G46, as the case may be, provided the final leather product is manufactured out of finished leather made from Hide/Wet Blue /Crust Leather of Cow/ Buffalo or Skins/Wet Blue /Crust Leather of Goat/ Sheep/ Calf in the exporter’s own tanning unit or in the tanning unit of exporter’s supporting manufacturer so declared and endorsed in the license.”
