Extension of Deadline for Filing Quarterly and Annual Returns for EPR E-Waste
The deadline for filing quarterly and annual returns under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 have been extended by the Ministry. The new deadline for submitting these returns has been extended until 31st December, 2024, for the financial year (FY) 2023-24. This extension follows requests from industry associations to allow more time for filing compliance.
Previously it was 31st august 2024 but now the filing deadline has been shifted to 31st December 2024 providing additional time for registered entities to meet their obligations under the E-Waste (Management) Rules.
During this extension period, the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Certificate generation and transfer will also be conducted through the EPR Portal.
Registered entities are required to complete the necessary filings before the new extended deadline to avoid any penalties or legal repercussions.
