Amendment in the policy condition of Coal Import Monitoring System

The Government amends the time period for the application for registering under the Coal Import Monitoring System.

The existing policy condition and the amended policy conditions are stated below –

The importer can apply for registration not earlier than 60th day and not later than 5 days before the expected date of arrival of the import consignment. The Automatic Registration Number shall remain valid for a period of 75 days. Importer shall have to enter the Registration Number and expiry date of Registration in the Bill of Entry to enable Customs for clearance of consignment.

The importer can apply for registration not earlier than 60th day and till the arrival date (Zero Day) of consignment at gateway port. The Automatic Registration Number shall remain valid for a period of 75 days. Importer shall have to enter the Registration Number and expiry date of Registration in the Bill of Entry to enable Customs for clearance of consignment.
